Product Enhancements
DISCO rolls out new features and enhancements in three phases: crawl, walk, and run. These phases allow our team to obtain user feedback and performance data before a full release on all DISCO databases. You can read more about these phases here.
11/10/25
Microsoft Teams chat streams support - Native ingest now automatically identifies Teams chat data within standard email exports (PSTs). Similar to Slack functionality, DISCO will now process and parse this data in 24-hour increments without any preprocessing, streamlining review workflows. This update is in walk, and is available on all new matters after 11/10. You can read more about this release here.
11/17/25
Native Excel mass redactions - Apply mass redactions directly within the native spreadsheet view, and redact terms, patterns, comments, and sheet names in Excel's native layout. This enhancement provides critical production flexibility, allowing you to deliver mass-redacted native Excel files instead of images. This update is in walk, and is available on all new matters after 11/17.
Default STR document count sort - Consistently filter Search Term Reports in a descending list by document count, ensuring the highest-count terms are always displayed first until a user manually chooses a different sort order. This update is in walk, and is available on all new matters after 11/17.
Features in crawl
Crawl is a rollout phase in which we give a subset of customers early access to a new feature or enhancement for testing and feedback purposes. Please contact your DISCO representative if you or your organization wants to leverage any of the features listed below.
11/10/25
Exchange email address processing improvements - Improved email address handling significantly reduces the incidence of Exchange emails receiving x500 email addresses, resulting in fewer duplicate emails and more accurate searching for email addresses.
Auto Review in filters - Similar to Tag Predictions, users can now access Auto Review Tag Suggestions directly from the filters pane. Easily combine multiple filters (like date range and custodian), without the need for complex search syntax, to quickly identify the most relevant documents. You can learn more about this release here.
Resolved issues
11/3/25
Cecilia Single Doc Q&A Citation Fix - Unnecessary citation numbers that did not point to a source will no longer appear in Cecilia Single Doc Q&A answers, reducing customer confusion.
Combined Exclusions in Filters and Search Bar Fix - he search system will now correctly support applied filters that contain silent exclusions (like unknown senders) when the user query also contains exclusions.
11/17/25
UTC option restored in review database creation - The standardized time zone picker now has the UTC option restored. This ensures one of the most commonly selected time zones is available for all users.
