Product Enhancements
DISCO rolls out new features and enhancements in three phases: crawl, walk, and run. These phases allow our team to obtain user feedback and performance data before a full release on all DISCO databases. You can read more about these phases here.
8/4/25
Scoped user visibility - User visibility in the add user dropdown for review and case databases is now limited to users associated with the same matters, which improves data privacy and ensures users only view relevant team members. This functionality is in run, or available on all new or previously created databases after 8/4.
8/18/25
Enhanced STR error notifications - If an STR encounters an error, the notification will now include a "View" link that takes users directly to the specific report where the error occurred. This functionality is in run, or available on all new or previously created databases after 8/18.
Features in crawl
Crawl is a rollout phase in which we give a subset of customers early access to a new feature or enhancement for testing and feedback purposes. Please contact your DISCO representative if you or your organization wants to leverage any of the features listed below.
8/18/25
Native Excel mass redactions - Users can now apply mass redaction operations directly to the Spreadsheet view of Excel files, providing a more convenient and automated way to protect sensitive information while retaining spreadsheet integrity.
8/25/25
Cecilia content copy - A dedicated copy button will now allow users to copy a Cecilia Q&A question and answer or a Cecilia definitions response directly to their clipboard, providing an easy way to copy formatted content for use in external documents.
Resolved issues
8/4/25
Improved Cecilia Q&A Highlighting - Cecilia Q&A highlights will now consistently appear on the PDF view of a document, allowing users to easily navigate to highlights from the hit jumper.
8/18/25
Case insensitive field names - Certain field names will now be case insensitive, which resolves an issue where a user's browser could send the wrong case and cause a search to fail, ensuring a more reliable search experience.
