Product Enhancements
DISCO rolls out new features and enhancements in three phases: crawl, walk, and run. These phases allow our team to obtain user feedback and performance data before a full release on all DISCO databases. You can read more about these phases here.
7/7/25
Audio transcoding on the fly - Play nearly all audio files directly in the viewer, without having to download or convert files. This functionality is in run, or available on all new or previously created databases after 7/7.
International date support - Choose from predefined international date formats during ingest and overlay to seamlessly upload data from anywhere in the world. This functionality is in run, or available on all new or previously created databases after 7/7.
7/14/25
Enhanced search hit visibility - Users can now quickly differentiate between their search hits and global highlights. The "Search hits" line in the hit jumper will now display the custom color users have selected on their "Term highlights" page, making it even easier to spot search results at a glance. This functionality is in run, or available on all new or previously created databases after 7/14.
7/25/25
Updated Review Database Archive & Delete Process - Users can better manage their database archive and deletion requests from the platform, with an improved request interface and better insight into any billing impact. This functionality is in run, or available on all new or previously created databases after 7/25. You can learn more about this feature here.
7/28/25
Mass redactions edits and removals - Users will now be able to efficiently update or delete existing mass redactions across large document sets, with operations tracked in the Mass Action Log for easy rollback. This functionality is in walk, or available on all new databases created after 7/28. You can learn more about this feature here.
Features in crawl
Crawl is a rollout phase in which we give a subset of customers early access to a new feature or enhancement for testing and feedback purposes. Please contact your DISCO representative if you or your organization wants to leverage any of the features listed below.

Resolved issues
7/21/25
Excel search accuracy for special characters - Search accuracy was improved for special unicode characters in Excel files (for example, emojis). Search hits are now accurately located and highlighted, providing a more reliable search experience.
Bates number padding optimization - Bates number padding for document-level productions now considers the largest page count of a single document, rather than the entire production. This optimizes padding and avoids unnecessary increases, providing a more efficient user experience.
Search terms report (STR) progress accuracy - The Search Term Report calculation progress bar was improved to accurately reflect report completion status, ensuring users know exactly when their report is ready to use.
Improved search term report (STR) display - An incorrect yellow triangle error symbol was removed from the Search Term Report page, providing users with a clear and accurate representation of their report's state.
7/28/25
Hash() field search accuracy - Search results will now be accurate and reliable when the Hash() field is used alongside other criteria, as the system will no longer ignore other search terms in the query.
Filter search bar stability - The "Show All" filter search bar will no longer display a blank page when a user types a question mark ("?"), ensuring users can search for filter values without disruption
