By clicking into a row in the Collections Dashboard, you will be able to view information about the matter separated into three tabs: Collection Jobs, Custodians, and Export. The Collection Jobs page displays first automatically, but you can view the Custodians tab and Export tab by clicking on them. Below is an overview of how you use each tab:
Collection Jobs
The Collection Jobs tab lists all collections that have been run for the associated matter, as well as Source, Name, Creator, start date, completion date, number of Items in the collection, number of Exports, Export Size, and Status for each job.
- By clicking the
icon at the far right of each job, users can Preview, Export, or Delete, that specific job. Note that Preview will only be available for Slack and Box data. Please see the Box Data Collections or Slack Data Collections Knowledge Base for additional information. If a job has a Failed status, the only option available here will be to restart the job.
- To view further details of the job, click the
icon. An About Job popup will appear, showing the Collection Name, Creator, Job Number, and Custodians of the collection, as well as the parameters used when collecting data from the listed source.
Custodians
The Custodians tab displays information about the custodians associated with the chosen matter. For each custodian, you can see the Name, Email, Status, On Hold date they were placed on hold, date they were released (if applicable), number of collection Jobs already created, and Sources of data available for collection.
- Clicking on a particular custodian provides a more detailed view of their collection history, including an overview of the number of collection jobs in progress, completed, failed, and the size of collected files in GB for that custodian.
- You can also view each Collection Job associated with that custodian, and specific metadata for each job. Clicking on the
icon to the right of a job will provide the options to Preview Job or Export. Note that Export will only be available for Slack data and Box data.
Export
The Export tab provides insight into all exports on a particular collection matter. You can view the Source, Job Name, Export Name, Custodians, Size, Format, Status, Ingests, and date Exported.
- By clicking the
icon to the right of a collection job, you can Download Export and Delete. For Box data, you will see an option to ingest collected data directly into DISCO Ediscovery.
- If you choose this last option, you will be prompted to name the ingest and optionally provide a description. Then select the destination review database and data space (either ECA or Active Review). The only review databases that will appear in the menu are those that are active and that you have Manage Ingest permissions for.
- After initiating an ingest, the Ingests into Ediscovery column will appear on this page, with the count for this column representing the total number of ingests created from the export. A pop-up will also appear that links to the ingest list for the selected review database.
